Getting employment as an autistic adult can be difficult. Some say that they need to keep autism off their CV because the choice is between not getting needed accommodations in the job or not getting a job at all. Getting through the interview process can be daunting if you are autistic. HR departments need to know how to level the playing field and give neurodiverse people a chance.
This is why I was pleased to see a story Tweeted by Neurodiverse Self Advocacy @NDSA_UK which is about a hotel chain in India* which has 20% of staff with a disability, which includes autistic people and people with downs syndrome as well as the physically disabled.

Lemon Tree Hotels say this policy has led to increased productivity and a more positive attitude in the staff as a whole and the toxicity of the working structure reduced.
For any employers reading, the linked article has notes on best practices for recruiting neurodivergent people and why a common recruitment strategy for neurotypical and neurodiverse people is not fair, but the link in the article to the study in Neurowork is broken. You really need a policy which will help recruit neurodiverse and disabled people who will be an asset to your business.
