1 The National Autistic Society
The National Autistic Society offers a valuable free eLearning module aimed at helping neurotypical individuals better comprehend the world of autistic teenagers. This resource is thoughtfully designed for parents and caregivers, providing them with essential insights and understanding.
The module was not only collaborated with buy led by autistic people.
You can find the module, and others, here.
Why is this on a website for autistic adults? It is acknowledged that there is a genetic risk of autism, and due to delays in diagnosis young people over 16 in Kirklees go through the adult diagnostic route.
The best bit is that it is absolutely free in 2024, other modules may have a cost.

1Autism is highly heritable: It is estimated at least 50% of genetic risk is predicted by common genetic variation and another 15-20% is due to spontaneous mutations or predictable inheritance patterns. The remaining genetic risk is yet to be determined. ©UCLAHealth 2023
