If you let it, the Bible can be subversive. Especially if you are open to the Holy Spirit leading you. Sometimes, when you have expectations of where you think the Bible is going, the Bible seems to subvert itself.

While the tragic events of the murder of Jewish and Babylonian babies, and the joy of their murderers, may not be explicitly mentioned in the Bible, it seems highly likely that these events are remembered by the returnees.
