Huddersfield Town Centre for a walk arranged by the Historical Society.

The theme of the day might as well have been scaffolding. The George Hotel was covered in scaffolding. The railway station was covered in scaffolding. The Parish Church was covered in scaffolding. Some buildings were not covered in scaffolding, like the Town Hall, above and Lion Arcade. I’m not surprised that Harold Wilson has turned his back on the station though.

 

 

 

 

Then after a walk around into The Grove for jazz. Nice.
