Here are two pictures. One from eight years ago, when my beeard still had some colour left, and a recent one taken on 31st October, just a few days ago. My face has not been so naked in a long time.
The reason I braved the shave is Movember.
What is Movember? You may well ask.
During November I am growing a moustache to raise attention of men’s health:
- Men on average die 4.5 years younger than women for largely preventable reasons.
- Mental health – Globally, we lose a man to suicide every minute of every day.
- Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men over 45.
- Testicular cancer is the #1 cancer in young men.
This post is to raise awareness, there will be others to show the progress say other things about men’s health and how to donate once I have set up a Facebook giving page.
