Two years ago a local Christian youth group in our town had three members — questions were being asked about whether to continue.
Now there are seventeen of them, last night ten of these made history by being in a very ecumenical service. Rather than split them up so that those attending the Anglican church get confirmed into the Anglican church, the Methodists confirmed into their church and the Baptists dunked there was one service at the Baptist church,(they have the pool) involving the Baptist and Methodist ministers and a bishop. Each of the ten young people were welcomed into their church using that denomination’s tradition, but all in the same service.
The music was chosen by the young people themselves, it was lively, and each gave a testimony as to what God meant to them. It was really good to see such enthusiasm, it rubs off.
That sounds fantastic and most encouraging!
