  1. They really can be helped by being with the right kind of people and working on worthwhile projects with the right understanding when things go wrong for them brings smiles quicker than tantrums…

    1. What are dismissed as temper tantrums often are not that at all. Meltdowns in autistic people are different. Tantrums are trying to get something for yourself, meltdowns are when the brain is overloaded, information overload or stress. They may look the same, but the cause is different and they need to be treated differently. What we need is to be treated as human beings and not as problems to be solved.
