A new theme. A friend at church said he had been at a meeting where they looked at the apostle paul’s prayers for the church. I thought that would be a good subject for a few blog posts. A few I thought, little did I know.

I have found over 30 of them, no doubt more will turn up when I read through all the letters in turn. I never realised there were so many, i am in for a lot of learning as I prepare these posts.

But which order do I go in? Instead of going through in the order of the canon of Scripture I thought it better to go through in the order of writing, then any changes or maturing in Paul’s theology through time may become aparent.

So here goes starting next Monday, or there abouts, the prayers of St Paul.
