Movember, Final day

Me. With the moustache and subble as I’m growing the beard back.

When I started this I meant to take a photograph every 5 days of Movember. This time I am two days late. On 26th November there is a little bit more mo to show for it. In fact that’s all of it, it is December and I’m growing the beard back.

For those who are confused by that opening sentence, Movember is not one of my many typos, it is a campaign to raise awareness of men’s health issues:

  • Men on average die 4.5 years younger than women for largely preventable reasons.
  • Mental health – Globally, we lose a man to suicide every minute of every day.
  • Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men over 45.
  • Testicular cancer is the #1 cancer in young men.

But as well as the awareness of men’s health there is also the question of money,

I am doing this together with a number of other men at Holy Trinity Huddersfield, and there is a giving page set up. Please be generous. If you can’t afford to give or don’t want to give that’s OK. If you think the lowest suggested donation of £20 is too much, or wish to give more than the highest suggestion of £200 you can adjust the amount on the page. Go here.

Please give. But more importantly, raise awareness of men’s health issues.

And here’s a gallery of me in Movember 2022:
