A retrospective.
Goodbye 2013, I’ll miss you.
You were the year I started a job, in Leeds, after 7 months unemployment.
You were the year I gained competency and sealed my year’s contract.
You were the year my contact was extended for a further six months.
You were the year I took the risk of changing the job: If I didn’t get competency in the new position then there would be no more job.
You were also the year I gained competency in that job too.
But it wasn’t just work.
I have become calmer. Calmer than any time since I was injured back in 2006. It could be that I am not having the stress of previous jobs, or it could be that management are supportive of the workforce.
Whatever it was, 2013 was a good year. I’m hoping that 2014 will continue the trend.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
