Judeo-Christianity and Buddhism – a comparison of core values

Judeo-Christianity and Buddhism
a comparison of core values

Last week I looked at what Christianity had in common with the monotheistic religions of Judaism, Islam and Hinduism.

I mentioned that there were philosophical similarities with Buddhism, and I would look at it later. Here it is.

Just a table to show how the moral precepts of Buddhism fit in with the Judeo-Christian teachings of the Ten Commandments. If you are reading from a phone or tablet it may be better to turn your device sideways to read this:buddhist table

As last week I said that I do not wish to ignore the differences, but if we acknowledge our similarities first we both have a strong base on which to debate, which is good.

Yet again I would say that the difference is that we have a God who loves us, it is about a relationship with God.
